AISS representative attends “Trans-Himalaya DevelopmentForum”
The Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) Senior Research Associate, Dr Omar Sadr attended 4th Trans-Himalaya Development Forum, organized by China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), Dehong, China, on 10-13 September 2018. Dr Sadr delivered a speech on Afghanistan's International Connectivity and its Prospects. The theme of this forum was Trans-Himalaya Cooperation: From Concept to Practice. Scholars from seven trans-Himalayan countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka discussed and deliberated on the issues of developments, expectations and challenges of connectivity and industrial capacity- building in trans-Himalayan region.
